Job responsibilities
Provide general medicalservices to registered and temporary patients in accordance with thepractices GMS contract
Undertake patientconsultations in person, via telephone, or online, including assessment,diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate
Maintain accurate,contemporaneous, and confidential clinical records using the practicesclinical system (e.g., EMIS-WEB)
Manage acute and chronicconditions in line with NICE guidance and best practice standards
Participate in themanagement of long-term conditions and health promotion clinics (e.g.,diabetes, hypertension, asthma)
Review and act uponpathology results, hospital correspondence, and other clinical communications
Prescribe medicines inaccordance with the practices formulary and prescribing policies
Undertake home visits andcare home rounds where appropriate
Provide advice and supportto colleagues, including nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff
Participate in clinicalgovernance, audit, and quality improvement activities
Support and contribute tothe training of medical students, GP trainees, and other learners ifapplicable

Person Specification
Knowledge & Skills
* Sound clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills
* Good understanding of primary care systems and NHS structures
* Ability to manage acute and chronic disease
* Proficient in IT systems (EMIS, SystmOne, Docman)
* Knowledge of current NHS and CQC standards
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree
* Full registration with GMC
* Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List
Experience
* Experience of working in UK general practice or equivalent primary care setting
* Experience with QOF, enhanced services, or audit work
* Experience teaching or supervising trainees
