Company Overview
We are the exclusive UK agent for a leading U.S. manufacturer of high-performance industrial pumps. Our products serve vital sectors including manufacturing, fire protection, water utilities, and the oil and gas industry.
Role Summary
As a Key Account Executive, you'll spearhead market development across the UK, acting as the key commercial link between UK clients and the U.S. manufacturer. You'll identify, specify, and close pump solution sales across several dynamic sectors.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop new sales opportunities in industrial, fire protection, water, and oil & gas markets
· Visit client sites, assess their specific requirements, and provide tailored pump solutions
· Create and present proposals, quotations, and tenders
· Build long-term relationships with end-users, contractors, and consultants
· Attend industry events to promote our brand and generate leads
· Provide market feedback to the U.S. manufacturer
· Achieve set sales targets and maintain detailed CRM records
Key Skills & Qualifications
· Proven sales experience in industrial/technical environments (pumps, valves, rotating equipment preferred)
· Strong commercial and negotiation skills
· Knowledge of pump types and applications is a distinct advantage
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Self-starter able to manage a territory and work independently
· Full clean UK driving licence and a willingness to travel nationwide
Desirable
· Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
· Familiarity with UK standards and approvals (e.g., LPCB, WRAS, ATEX).
· Existing contacts in relevant industrial or engineering sectors
