Job Summary
Senior Carer – Residential Care Home – Bank at Barchester Healthcare. Responsible for leading a team of care staff, providing person‑centred care, administering medication, updating care plans, and liaising with GP, district nursing teams and families.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise care staff on shift, including training and delegation.
* Administer and order medication, and review and update resident care plans.
* Conduct risk assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
* Communicate with GP’s, district nursing teams and resident families.
* Create a warm, welcoming environment respecting residents’ dignity and preferences.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
* Previous experience in a residential care setting.
* Proven team leadership skills and decision‑making ability.
* Commitment to warm, compassionate, individualised care.
