About the role Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all works delivered as part of the Group’s planned maintenance, cyclical maintenance, and service contracts relating to Health & Safety and Fire Safety are completed to a consistently high standard. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that appointed contractors and suppliers supporting the asset service meet or exceed their contractual obligations maintaining strong oversight of performance quality and compliance. Within this role there will be the requirement to travel across our areas of operation on occasion. Key responsibilities Assist the Asset Manager in procuring asset related contracts by defining performance standards that reflect Group expectations and stakeholder feedback. Support delivery of service contracts and planned/cyclical maintenance programmes by monitoring and ensuring that appointed contractors and suppliers meet or exceed their contractual obligations and performance requirements, including budget control. Ensure full compliance with Group requirements, contract documentation, and all relevant regulatory and legislative obligations. Support the development and implementation of the Group’s Health & Safety and Fire Safety policies and procedures across all property assets. Drive digitalisation by reviewing existing processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing enhanced ways of working. What you will bring Experience in property maintenance, construction, health & safety, or a related discipline. Demonstrable responsibility for budgetary control and performance management. Proven experience in the procurement, management, and performance oversight of external contractors and suppliers. Strong understanding of property-related legislation, including statutory and regulatory compliance requirements. Experience applying and monitoring Health & Safety and/or Fire Safety requirements within a property or asset-based environment. Sufficient technical knowledge to manage and control building and service contracts from commencement to completion. Working legal knowledge of building contracts and the obligations and requirements of landlords A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role.
