MJMK is entering an exciting phase of growth, with new restaurant openings ahead. We are looking for a Recruitment and Talent Manager who is passionate about hospitality and exceptional guest experience, and who will support us in building great teams.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role responsible for attracting, engaging and welcoming great hospitality talent into MJMK. Leading the full recruitment journey to ensure every candidate feels valued, supported and excited to join us from day one, while developing recruitment approaches that strengthen performance, culture and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and manage our applicant tracking system, job boards and recruitment content — bringing MJMK’s culture and values to life.
* Shape and evolve our employee value proposition, sharing the story of why MJMK is a great place to work.
* Build long-term attraction strategies, including early careers, chef pipelines and internships.
* Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, delivering an inclusive and engaging candidate experience.
* Partner with Operations and heads of department on workforce planning, screening and hiring.
* Create practical recruitment toolkits for managers at every level.
* Train, coach and support managers to recruit brilliantly and confidently.
* Keep job descriptions fresh, relevant and consistent across all restaurants and functions.
* Manage recruitment budgets, balancing quality, speed and cost.
* Deliver recruitment and onboarding for new restaurant openings, including campaigns, open days and launch readiness.
What We’re Looking For
* We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about people and culture, but who also understands the commercial impact of great recruitment.
* You will be someone who brings energy, ownership and pace — comfortable working in a fast-moving hospitality environment and able to balance candidate experience with business priorities.
You’ll ideally bring:
* Proven experience in recruitment or talent roles, ideally within hospitality, leisure or multi-site environments.
* A strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment, attraction strategies and onboarding.
* A values-led approach, with a natural ability to spot cultural fit and potential.
* A clear communicator and good level of emotional intelligence.
* Confidence using data and metrics to track progress, identify issues and improve results.
* Strong stakeholder skills, with the ability to influence and support Operations.
* A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset — happy to roll up your sleeves when needed.
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced, changing environment.

* 50% staff discount across all MJMK restaurants
* Enhanced maternity and paternity pay, after your first year with us
* 28 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays
* Mental health and well-being assistance via Hospitality Action, offering free advice and counselling

About MJMK Restaurants
MJMK Restaurants own and operate a collection of award-winning restaurants. Founded in 2018 by lifelong friends Jake Kasumov and Marco Mendes, our journey began with Casa do Frango. In 2020, we partnered with chef patron Santiago Lastra to open KOL, a restaurant in Marylebone celebrating Mexican cuisine with British ingredients. KOL has since earned a Michelin Star and been named one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
In 2024 saw two new ventures: Fonda, a contemporary Mexican concept in Mayfair - our second collaboration with Santiago Lastra - and AngloThai in Marylebone, a debut restaurant from husband-and-wife John and Desiree Chantarasak, blending Thai flavours with British ingredients. Within three months of opening, AngloThai earned a Michelin star.
In the 2025 National Restaurant Awards, AngloThai was named The Square Opening of the Year and ranked 7th in the Top 100 list, followed by KOL at number 50. Luso, a contemporary Portuguese restaurant in Fitzrovia, opened in September 2025.
