Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are recruiting a Teacher of English at The Mary Erskine School for a temporary, part-time role from 14 August 2025 to 4 January 2026. The position involves 11.75 hours per week during term time, with an option for additional hours on Friday. The salary ranges from £19,308 to £27,963, depending on qualifications and experience, based on the ESMS Teaching Staff Salary Scale A. The role is located at the Ravelston site.
The ideal candidate must be GTCS-registered, possess a subject-specific degree, and be familiar with Scottish qualifications. They should be an excellent practitioner, highly organized, capable of multitasking, and able to foster positive relationships within the school community.
