About the role

We are excited to announce at Teaching Personnel that we are currently working warm and welcoming Catholic primary school based in Birkenhead who are looking for a 1:1 TA to join their staff team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on a child’s educational journey, while also developing their own skills and experience. We are excited to offer this rewarding role to an individual who is motivated, patient, and eager to help a young learner thrive both academically and personally.

Your Responsibilities will include:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil within a nurturing school environment.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities and communication strategies.
Support the pupil’s academic progression, social development, and emotional wellbeing.
Assist with implementing personalised support plans, including sensory needs and alternative communication methods.
Promote an inclusive classroom environment aligned with the school’s values of compassion, respect, and care.
Contribute to wider classroom activities as needed, ensuring a positive and engaging learning experience for all pupils.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers.

What we are looking for:

Experience in similar roles such as support work with children.
Experience of supporting children with additional needs.
An understanding, patient and child-focused approach.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
Minimum Qualification of GSCE C grade or Equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
