The role will involve planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, reactive repairs, inspections, condition-based monitoring, spares control, outage support and accurate maintenance reporting through the site CMMS system.This is a hands-on maintenance role where your ability to diagnose faults, work safely, keep accurate records and support plant reliability will be key.What youll be doing Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across plant equipmentDiagnosing faults on mechanical and electrical assetsWorking on pumps, gearboxes, motors, valves, panels, instrumentation and controlsCompleting routine inspections and condition-based monitoringSupporting plant upgrades, modifications and small maintenance projectsContributing to outage planning, scheduling and executionMaintaining accurate records using the site CMMS systemHelping ensure the right spares are available to support plant performanceWorking in line with site safety rules, SOPs and company proceduresSupporting compliance with pressure system and lifting equipment requirementsParticipating in a 1 in 4 call-out rotaWhat were looking for We are looking for a practical, hands-on maintenance engineer with a strong mechanical bias and good all-round engineering capability.You will ideally have:Time-served or Level 3 maintenance engineering qualificationMechanical maintenance experience in a heavy process environmentExperience working on pumps, gearboxes, valves, motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics or process plant equipmentAbility to diagnose faults and carry out effective repairsExperience with planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdownsStrong safety awareness and a practical approach to complianceGood record keeping and basic IT / CMMS experienceAbility to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamExperience in power generation, waste treatment, chemicals, refining, steel, utilities, heavy manufacturing or similar process environments would be highly relevant.Knowledge of steam systems, water treatment plant, CMMS platforms, Piranha, IOSH or NEBOSH would be useful, but is not essential.The type of person who will succeed This role needs someone practical, reliable and hands-on.You will be the type of engineer who enjoys getting into the detail, diagnosing faults properly and keeping plant downtime to a minimum.
