Job Description
Grafton Banks Finance are currently working with a well-respected and growing business with offices based in Central London to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Recording of purchase/sales invoices, receipts and payments.
* Maintaining cashbooks in multiple currencies & bank reconciliations.
* Inter-company reconciliations.
* Knowledge of foreign exchange preferred.
* Knowledge of VAT returns.
* Accruals & prepayments.
* Fixed assets register.
* Management reports.
* Assisting with analysis and schedules for forecasting Corporation Tax.
* Assisting with the preparation of the company statutory accounts.
* Strong Excel, double entry and reconciliation skills.
* Ad hoc duties (as required).
Key Skills & Experience:
* AAT part or fully qualified (or equivalent qualification) preferred but not essential.
* Working knowledge of Sage 50 Professional is advantageous.
* Well organised and methodical.
* Willing to be part of a team and engage with others.
* Confident self-starter, able to problem solve and use initiative.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
* Strong communication skills.
* Relevant experience preferred – expected to be > 2-3 years.
