CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Facilities Manager to join our site based in Huddersfield.
Overview
As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for providing overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings. This role is part of the Facilities Management functional area focusing on operations of assets and providing support to the Property Managers regarding repairs and investment plans.
What You Will Do
* Own operational delivery of a large client site
* Attend or lead client stakeholder meetings
* Provide formal supervision for employees; monitor training and development; conduct performance evaluations and coaching; oversee recruiting and hiring of new employees
* Manage budgets to ensure work is delivered to plan
* Deliver Monthly Meetings for Operations and Finance
* Schedule and manage the team’s daily activities; establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and track deadlines; mentor and coach as needed
* Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance with technicians, vendors, and contractors
* Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues
* Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports
* Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations; identify operational efficiencies and upgrade opportunities
* Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities
* Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing; review quotes for parts, services, and labor
* Demonstrate strong commercial acumen by reviewing supplier performance, contracts, and identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies and value
* Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices
What You Will Need
* Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3–5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver’s license required. Facility Management certification preferred
* Experience in staffing, training, development, coaching, mentoring, and performance measurement
* Ability to convey performance expectations and handle problems with sensitive information
* Leadership skills to motivate a team and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
* Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
* Strong commercial acumen with experience reviewing supplier performance against KPIs/SLAs and interpreting contract terms to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency
