As a Quality Inspector, you will work as part of the Quality department in a shift-based role to support the delivery of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the site, which operates 24/7.
Responsibilities include:
1. Attending shift handover meetings to communicate the current situation and status of open non-conformance issues (fault notes & isolations) involved in during the shift.
2. Conducting CCP verification checks.
3. Supplying and verifying the correct defect test pieces to production lines and ensuring they are collected back at the end of a production run.
4. Confirming that the appropriate specifications and documentation are in place and correctly completed.
5. Accurately recording data in the electronic quality database system (CAQ) and escalating any failings to management for investigation before the end of the shift.
6. Conducting laboratory-based analytical testing as required to support material or colour changes, especially during evening shifts.
7. Diligently performing duties as requested by management, in accordance with health and safety, quality, and food safety practices.
8. Maintaining high standards of laboratory and Quality station housekeeping at all times.
9. Performing any other duties reasonably required that are consistent with the main purpose of the job.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience in a Quality, Compliance, or Testing role within a manufacturing environment, preferably with laboratory-based analytical testing (not essential).
* Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
* Organized with effective communication skills.
* Awareness of food safety policies.
