You will play a key part in supporting learners with additional needs, empowering them to grow in confidence, strengthen their independence, and achieve meaningful progress both academically and socially. The school are looking for someone with experience supporting children or young people, ideally within a SEND or educational setting, who understands the principles of inclusive practice and how to effectively support diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will bring excellent communication skills, along with patience, empathy and a genuine ability to connect with learners. A strong team ethos and a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people are essential. Experience supporting pupils with autism and/or complex needs, including the use of alternative or augmentative communication methods, would be highly beneficial. Additional training such as safeguarding, first aid, or positive behaviour support would also be an advantage.
