Aviva are looking for an experienced Loss Adjuster to assess/validate lower to mid complexity claims (under £10,000) using virtual technology. The role requires core knowledge of building pathology to create schedules of works, providing customers with financial settlement options or utilising our panel of network contractors. You will support customers throughout the process.
A bit about the job:
Working within a driven, customer-focused team committed to delivering the right outcomes in line with consumer Duty. You will demonstrate effective cost management on all claims, controlling costs/indemnity within policy cover, with accurate policy interpretation and understanding insurance principles. The goal is to provide accurate settlements while delivering exceptional customer service.
You will mainly handle claims related to EOW, storm, accidental damage, fire, impact, malicious damage. Your responsibilities include completing virtual assessments and building schedules of works with advanced technology, offering cash settlements or network options.
Your role involves collaboration within a large team, aligned with Aviva’s strategic vision to achieve optimal outcomes for both the business and customers.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Strong knowledge of the home insurance industry, claims management, FCA/Financial Ombudsman regulations, and Consumer Duty legislation.
* Understanding of underwriting risks, peril-related damage, policy interpretation, limits, endorsements, and managing vulnerable customers.
* Excellent communication skills, customer-focused attitude, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, asbestos regulations, and precise handling of these issues.
* Commitment to ongoing learning through mentoring, courses, and independent study. Experience creating schedules of works using defined rates.
