Are looking for to work in a supported living service that truly makes a difference to the lives of others? Look no further. This service has 5 units comprising of one bedroom flats and studio accommodation. Brisbane Supported Living Services are accessible by public transport and close to local amenities. Brisbane support service users with mental health and learning disabilities. The service users enjoy living independently as possible and going out into the local community, shopping etc. Service users age range is between 18-65 years. Tenants are issued with an Assured Short hold Tenancy. They have exclusive use of a bedroom, kitchen/living area, shower and bathroom. All tenants have use of rear communal garden. The Caretech Group is a Sponsored Employer but our sponsorship programme is currently full. Main duties and responsibilities: To participate in the day to day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment. To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families and others whilst respecting appropriate confidentiality. To support service users with the preparation of Meals, Laundry duties, cleaning and social events. To maintain accurate notes and records as and when required. To work as part of a team to provide high quality care. Personal Characteristics: Diploma (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards one. Experience in supporting adults with challenging behaviour, physical disabilities, learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. The ability to keep calm under pressure. The confidence to work alone or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills The passion to work with vulnerable adults The desire and commitment to achieve high standards of safeguarding.
