Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Essex Salary: £30,000 – £45,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing mechanical designs and drawings for a range of mechanical systems and equipment, working within a team of mechanical design engineers on varied engineering projects. Key Responsibilities * Collaborate with internal departments to design parts, assemblies and equipment layouts * Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and supporting documentation including bills of materials (BOMs), sub-assembly drawings, schematics and schedules * Maintain and update standard machine builds and library components to ensure consistency across projects * Update and maintain mechanical drawings and documentation for equipment upgrades and modifications * Develop and implement mechanical design standards, processes and procedures * Maintain accurate 3D CAD models, assemblies and associated engineering documentation * Ensure drawings and documentation are updated and shared with relevant departments throughout the project lifecycle * Support drawing control, document management and revision control using Autodesk Vault * Liaise with the Drawing Office Manager to manage wor...
