Robert Half are partnering exclusively with a high-growth renewable energy platform to appoint an Investment Associate into their UK team.
Backed by a substantial international renewable energy group, the business combines entrepreneurial pace with institutional backing and a significant live project pipeline.
With a portfolio of operational and under-construction assets and further acquisitions in progress, this is an organisation scaling rapidly in one of the most critical infrastructure sectors supporting the UK's energy transition.
The Role
The Investment Associate will play a key role in the commercial and investment appraisal of the company's growing portfolio.
This is not a back-office modelling role. You will be actively involved across the full project lifecycle, working directly with senior leadership and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Ownership and development of best-in-class financial models for live and prospective projects
2. Commercial appraisal of battery storage assets and pipeline opportunities
3. Supporting acquisitions, due diligence and transaction execution
4. Participation in debt and equity finance raising processes
5. Preparation of investment memoranda and board papers
6. Working closely with technical, legal and commercial stakeholders to refine investment assumptions
7. Reviewing third-party advisor outputs and incorporating insights into valuation models
8. Supporting negotiation of acquisition and financing documentation
This role offers genuine exposure to infrastructure investing, M&A activity and capital raising within a fast-growing platform environment.
About You
We are seeking a commercially astute finance professional with:
9. ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CFA qualification

12. Experience supporting due diligence and investment appraisal processes
13. Advanced Excel skills
14. The ability to distil complex information into clear commercial insights
15. Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders
Prior renewables or energy experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong modelling capability, commercial thinking and a transaction mindset are key.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
16. Exposure to high-value infrastructure transactions
17. Direct access to senior leadership and board-level decision-making
18. Participation in both acquisition and finance-raising processes
19. A platform operating in one of the fastest-growing areas of UK infrastructure
20. Competitive base salary
21. Up to 30% discretionary bonus
22. 6% employer pension contribution
23. Private medical and dental cover
24. Professional subscription fees covered
This role offers a clear pathway for ambitious finance professionals looking to transition deeper into infrastructure investment and renewable energy.
