Assembly Technician (Electro-Mechanical)
About the role
Join a fast-growing technology manufacturer as a hands-on Assembly Technician within a small, high-performing electro-mechanical team. You’ll build complex products from sub-assemblies through to full units, support prototype/R&D work, and help keep quality and throughput high. This is a fully onsite role; a UK driving licence is beneficial. Sponsorship not available.
What you’ll do

Assemble electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and complete product builds to defined work instructions and schedules.
*
Carry out basic wiring/loom work, crimping/soldering, torque/fastener control, and mechanical fitting.
*
Use test jigs/fixtures to inspect, function-test and sign off completed sub-systems.
*
Maintain accurate build records, part traceability and version control.
*
Feed into continuous improvement: suggest refinements to build methods, tools and documentation.
*
Support prototypes and engineering changes in partnership with the design/production teams.
*
Uphold H&S, ESD and 5S standards across the workspace.
What you’ll need
*
Proven experience in manual assembly of complex, high-precision electro-mechanical systems.
*
Confidence reading engineering drawings, BoMs and wiring diagrams; strong attention to detail and quality.
*
Comfortable working to tight deadlines, adapting to changing priorities, and communicating clearly with teammates.
*
Working knowledge of H&S in a workshop/manufacturing environment.
*
Nice to have: background in precision manufacturing (e.g. industrial equipment, motorsport, aerospace, automotive), and experience with basic test/inspection sign-off.
