About the role
Centara Ltd is a surveying business working for a variety of prestigious clients throughout the UK. We are looking to expand our survey team by adding an experienced Utility Surveyor. The position is based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, but requires travel across the country; a full clean driving licence is required. Applicants from the Doncaster, Barnsley and Wakefield areas are particularly welcome.
Responsibilities
* Undertake site work using GPR and EML techniques for on‑site service clearance in preparation for intrusive site investigation works.
* Process and draft utility mapping projects to PAS128 standards.
* Manage ongoing projects.
* Liaise with external clients and internal site investigation teams for project scheduling.
Qualifications
* Good level of experience of undertaking utility mapping surveys using electromagnetic detection and ground penetrating radar.
* Aptitude to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to contribute ideas and suggestions.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Self‑motivated, with diligence, integrity and ambition.
* Willingness to travel around the UK.
* Adherence to technical and operating procedures with a strong sense of health and safety awareness.
