Role: Field Service Engineer (Print / Photocopiers)\n\nLocation: Peterborough / Cambridge and Northamptonshire \n\nCompany Overview: \n\nWe are actively seeking a semi-skilled Field Service Engineer (FSE) with transferable skills from sectors such as EPOS, ATM, or IT Hardware. The role involves servicing and maintaining high-end, quality Photocopiers/MFDs to ensure customer satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nMaintain and repair a full range of MFP & Production Print equipment according to technical specifications.\nRespond to field technical calls at client premises as directed, ensuring timely and efficient on-site repairs.\nMaintain accurate technical records using PDA service support tools and communicate with call control as needed.\nOrganize and maintain a vehicle or on-site spare parts kit to minimize Return to Fit (RTF) calls. Ensure tools, technical manuals, and other equipment are available, complete, and in safe condition.\nManage cloud-based digital document repository access through regular online synchronization of provided laptop tools.\nEnsure the company vehicle is maintained according to procedures and kept clean and presentable.\nMaintain accurate work expense records and submit them with receipts on time.\nAttend technical training courses, seminars, and online training modules to maintain technical skills and product awareness.\nCollaborate with other departments to promote efficient operational service.\nCommunicate regularly within the Technical Department regarding technical observations to support customer or equipment-related issues.\nEssential Qualifications:\n\nCompetent technician with experience in repairing and maintaining IT hardware devices such as ATM, EPOS, Laptops and desktop printers.\nConnectivity experience (e.g., installing print drivers and connecting basic printers to simple networks).\nHigh competency in diagnostic fault finding.\nDBS and SC Vetting are mandatory requirements for this role.\nDesirable Qualifications:\n\nAdvanced IT networking/connectivity experience (e.g., setting up network scanning, full MFP installation on print servers).\nBehaviours:\n\nDemonstrate a calm, unflustered attitude and diplomatic approach.\nAdhere to all client processes and procedures while on-site.\nAnalytical problem-solving approach to difficult situations.\nGood communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle conflict.\nPositive 'Can Do' attitude.\nFull, clean driving licence.\nPackage:\n\nUp to £28,000 - Monday to Friday only - sociable working hours \n25 days + Bank Holidays\nCompany car + fuel or van\nContributory pension scheme (5%)\nSick pay scheme\nDeath in Service\nHealthcare\nApplication: If you have any questions or would like to apply for this position in confidence, please email or call (phone number removed)
