Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Windows Infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), Certificate Services, SCCM, and other related services.
Additionally, you should have good understanding and working experience of Linux ideally RHEL as well as virtualization technologies such as VMWare vSphere. Experience with managing and implementing Veeam Backup ideally but not essential.
Any Azure cloud infrastructure experience in the following areas would be a distinct advantage. Azure VM build and migration, Azure Arc, Azure Storage and knowledge of cloud architecture principles and best practices.
As a technical engineer, you will work with vendors, architectural teams and department management to continually improve information technology infrastructure as well as drive the adoption of the latest technologies.
You will work closely with the project team(s) and Cyber security team to ensure the services are maintained and compliant. You will also Provide mentoring and training to engineering project team members.

Qualifications
Technical knowledge and experience required:
* Experience in IT infrastructure support and implementation
* Proficiency in server and network virtualization technologies (on-premises and cloud)
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Unix/Linux systems
* Experience with storage virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery technologies
* Understanding of ITIL and IT processes
* Analytical skills to translate business requirements into IT infrastructure solutions
* Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies
* Knowledge of information risk concepts and principles
* Relevant certifications in Microsoft infrastructure and cloud technologies are beneficial
Additional Information
Salary for this position is £44,400 to £55,500, depending on experience plus our excellent flexible benefits package.
We offer hybrid working - for this role ideally we are looking for on site presence 2/3 days a week.
