Location: Livingston, West Lothian

Employment Hours: Full time – 37.5hrs (0ffice based)

Contract type: Permanent

The Role

As Accountant, you’ll lead our Finance team and play a key role in strategic planning, financial governance, and operational delivery. You will ensure robust financial management, provide insightful reporting, and support decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.

* Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

* Provide strategic financial advice to the company Directors.

* Oversee financial governance, risk management and internal controls.

* Support business development, investment appraisal, and funding requirements

* Lead in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaison with auditors, ensuring that the financial statements are prepared in line with statutory requirements and that all year end deadlines are met.

* Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team.

Key requirements

* Preferable CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (will consider QBE)

* Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.

* Proven experience working within SME, fast pace environment.

* Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting and forecasting.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and impact the decisions and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams.

* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive results under tight timelines

* Proficiency in financial systems and tools including Microsoft Excel.
