We are working with well‑established full‑service law firms in the Manchester/North West region, seeking solicitors across two practice areas. Both roles offer hybrid working, supportive teams, and clear progression opportunities.
1. Solicitor – Court of Protection (NQ–4 PQE)
Salary: £45,000–£70,000 DOE
About the Department:
The Court of Protection team manages the property, financial affairs, and welfare decisions of individuals who lack capacity. You will work closely with families, carers, and deputies to ensure clients’ best interests are upheld.
Role Overview:
* Manage your own caseload of Court of Protection matters, including clients’ property and finances.
* Support deputies on higher‑value or complex cases.
* Maintain audit trails and accurate time records.
* Communicate effectively and sensitively with clients, families, and professionals.
Requirements:
* Experience in Court of Protection matters or related private client work.
* Strong technical ability and knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
* Organised, personable, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

2. Private Client Solicitor (NQ–8 PQE)
Salary: from £40,000, rising to 6-figure salary at Senior level
About the Team:
You will manage a varied private client caseload, providing high-quality advice to clients locally and nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft wills and provide estate planning advice.
* Administer estates and manage probate matters.
* Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney.
* Ensure compliance with SRA regulations and firm procedures.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor (NQ–8 PQE) in England & Wales.
* Excellent communication and client-care skills.
* Able to manage a caseload independently.
* Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
