Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE37 1PA
Full time – 18 months fixed term (potential to become permanent)
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday (1 in 4 rota to be on call over the weekend)
Up to £45,000 per annum

Responsibilities
* Lead planned and reactive maintenance activities, spending about 50% of time in a hands‑on role and the rest on supervisory and quality tasks.
* Ensure timely completion of Job Request forms and required Permits for all works.
* Monitor and optimise plant performance through effective maintenance systems.
* Oversee subcontractor performance and provide recommendations for appointments.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and promote safe working practices.
* Support the General Services Manager and clients with technical and professional expertise.
Qualifications
* C&G Level 3 (2365) or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Preferably 10 years (minimum of 5 years) experience in building services and plant engineering, including five years as a maintenance craftsman and preferably within an engineering role.
* Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines: LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems.
* Experience of Construction Design Management Regulations (CDM).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Numerate and computer literate.
* Driving licence required.
