Product Manager - Delivering Patients and Pathways / Full Time, Permanent / Home based

As a Product Manager at Spire Healthcare, you will be instrumental in driving forward significant digital initiatives, known as Epics, within the organization. You will report to the Director of Product, serving as your Capability Lead, and to the Value Stream Owner, who acts as your Delivery Lead. This role places you at the heart of Spire Healthcare's digital transformation efforts, where you will lead a team of Product Owners and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and enhance healthcare products and services that align with Spire’s strategic goals and improve patient care.
There are two key roles on offer in this value stream. The Digitisation of paper records and the other is working with a more focussed approach to engagement and accessibility on a large reporting platform critical for measuring our patients recovery. experience in either is very advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the delivery of key digital initiatives (Epics) from inception through to benefits realisation and evaluation, ensuring they align with Spire Healthcare's strategic objectives and digital strategy.
* Be responsible for and manage the aggregated Product Backlog for one or many significant digital initiatives.
* Manage, in a delivery context, a team of Product Owners, providing guidance and support in the development of area product backlogs for agile sprint cycles.
* Work in tandem with your Capability Lead (Director of Product) to develop and refine the overarching product strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business and digital strategies.
* Collaborate with the Value Stream Owner to ensure efficient and effective delivery of benefits, Objectives and Key Results set for your Epic as part of your Value Stream.
* Collaborate closely with the Strategic Management Office team including Delivery Managers and Portfolio Managers, to deliver benefits, balance stakeholder demands with resourcing / time constraints, and track delivery process against Spire Healthcare’s Strategic Roadmap. .
* Engage with stakeholders across the organization, including clinical staff, IT, marketing, and external partners, to gather requirements, feedback, and ensure broad support for digital initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with Change Management to ensure working solutions are deployed across Spire Healthcare successfully for the realisation of outcomes and benefits.
* Participate in all agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, to ensure alignment and continuous improvement.
* Define key Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and use data-driven insights to inform product decisions, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with business goals.
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, proactively addressing any regulatory compliance issues in collaboration with the security and compliance teams.
* Oversee vendor and technology partner relationships, conducting thorough evaluations to ensure their contributions enhance Spire’s product offerings.
* Measure and report on product performance using key metrics, soliciting feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future development cycles.
* Ensure all product developments comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards, working closely with the regulatory and compliance teams.
* Work with the Director of Products and with Spire Healthcare’s Agile Change Community to lead the adoption of the Agile mindset and ways of delivery
Key Requirements:
* Strong and demonstrable experience in product management within the healthcare sector, with a proven track record of leading complex digital projects and realising their intended benefits
* Demonstrated leadership skills with experience leading Product Owners and guiding cross-functional teams.
* Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, digital healthcare trends, and patient care processes, along with a keen awareness of healthcare regulations.
* Strong proficiency in Agile development methodologies (ideally SAFe), with the ability to implement Agile practices to enhance product development and delivery.
* Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
* Solid analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
* Strong skills in defining outcome measures and tracking the realisation of benefits.
* Certifications in product management, Agile methodologies (., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Leading SAFe, SAFe POPM), and delivery management
* Experience using and setting up agile tooling (., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow Agile Team)
* Experience delivering against and operating with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
* Demonstrable experience working on either Digitisation of paper records or Growth related Product experience pertaining to engagement and accessibility.
