Office Manager Location: Northampton Job Type: Full Time Industry: Civil Engineering Salary: £45,000 Start Date: ASAP The Role: Our client based in Northampton is currently recruiting for an experienced Office Manager to join their team and oversee all operations within their Planing Department. You'll play a key role in managing office staff, overseeing payroll, maintaining accurate information on the systems and implementing and streamlining processes. The successful candidate will be highly adaptable and expected to perform tasks as necessitated to support senior management and the overall business objectives. Key Responsibilities Support the directors, managers, coordinators and admin as required. Maintain existing contracts, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of data. Co-ordinate CRM systems to ensure all sub-contractor information is up to date. Record data and pull reports to share required information with clients. Oversee legal compliance by managing sales, delivery tickets and spreadsheets. Process employee time sheets and liaising with payroll. Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations. Complete necessary training and enhance your value to the business. Develop the role, with direction from senior staff, to provide information and systems that benefit. What We're Looking For Minimum 5 years in an Office Manager role ideally for a technical, construction or security-related business but not essential. Demonstrable experience managing people, systems and operational processes - not just admin tasks. Clear understanding of the importance of up-to-date, accurate records and how this supports compliance and client trust. Confident using software and systems (CRM or EHS), Google programmes and MS Office tools. Meticulous approach to detail, process, and customer service. Able to prioritise, delegate and keep multiple work-streams on track under pressure. Professional communicator who can build positive working relationships with suppliers, clients, subcontractors and senior management. Proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility for high standards.
