About This Role
Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust is looking to appoint a new Head of IT to our innovative and forward-thinking team. Our trust is committed to delivering exceptional education and support to all our students to help them achieve their full potential.
While primarily a primary phase trust, we also have one large secondary school, and we are particularly seeking someone with secondary school experience.
An ideal candidate would have:
* 2+ years experience in a similar IT leadership role
* Strong knowledge of Office 365, PowerShell, MIS systems
* Experience with backup systems and disaster recovery planning
* Experience in the educational sector
* Confidence in communicating with stakeholders
This role is pivotal and involves overseeing all IT operations, including:
* Developing and implementing our IT strategy
* Leading and managing the IT team, ensuring high performance and professional development
* Collaborating with MAT and school leaders, as well as third-party providers, to ensure continuity, security, and compliance
* Overseeing IT infrastructure, network security, cloud services, and end-user support across all school sites
