We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Huntercombe, a category C Prison located in Oxfordshire. HMP Huntercombe is a male prison housing 520 foreign nationals. We are recruiting for a Bank Pharmacy Assistant to support the wide Pharmacy team consisting of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Hours & Salary
Shift patterns are Monday–Friday 07:45–17:30 / Weekends 08:30–16:30.
The hourly rate is £15.80 per hour.

Main Duties
* Complete general dispensary duties and stock management
* Work as an active member of the pharmaceutical team to ensure delivery of the pharmaceutical service
* Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings
* Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing‑based clinical areas
* Collect orders from suppliers through the Main Gate and arrange return collection
* Participate in dispensing of prescriptions

Qualifications Required
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills or equivalent / currently working towards
* Medicines handling experience desirable but not essential
* Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
* A non‑judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
