Lead IT strategy and infrastructure for a technology business operating in the defence sector, delivering secure systems across multiple platforms - with security, resilience and compliance being central to everything they do.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will shape the IT roadmap, mentor engineers, and represent IT at senior leadership level.
You'll:
5. Lead a team of Senior Infrastructure Engineers
6. Own and improve on-prem and hybrid infrastructure
7. Develop a forward-looking IT roadmap
8. Work closely with the Managing Director and CISO
9. Ensure compliance with ISO and security standards
This is a predominantly internal IT role, focused on strengthening and futureproofing internal IT infrastructure.
Technical experience you'll need:
10. Windows Server ( / )
11. Active Directory / Azure AD
12. Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox
13. Microsoft
14. Palo Alto firewalls
15. Strong security and compliance focus
What we’re looking for:
16. Proven experience as an IT Manager or Infrastructure Manager
17. Experience leading technically capable engineers
18. Strong knowledge of Windows infrastructure and virtualisation
19. Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
Location: Tewkesbury - due to the nature of the industry and environment, the requirement is 5 days a week on site.
Salary: £50k-£55k
Security clearance (SC) is required. You must be a UK national and eligible to obtain clearance.
