Supply work allows you to gain experience across different school settings while maintaining control over your availability. The Role: As a School Welfare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils' physical and emotional wellbeing during the school day. Responsibilities may include: Providing first aid and managing minor injuries or illnesses Supporting pupils with medical needs and care plans Liaising with parents, staff, and external professionals when required Maintaining accurate welfare and medical records Offering reassurance and pastoral support to pupils as needed Requirements: Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable) A caring, calm, and professional approach First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one) Strong communication and organisational skills Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Tradewind) Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
