Role Overview
We are seeking Lecturers for the BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing & Social Care programme in partnership with Oxford Brookes University. The role requires flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
What You’ll Be Doing
* All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
* Developing, updating, and improving course materials.
* Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
* Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Working towards clear objectives for student attendance, continuity, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
* Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
* Have extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Experience of accurate reporting and maintained thorough and organized student records.
* Can work under pressure, plan and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years. Or Fellowship of HEA, or international equivalent.
* Experience in design/des development of academic or professional education programmes.
