As Operations and Events Assistant, you will help provide services and activities that support international students to feel welcome and make a successful transition to life at Leeds. You will also contribute to activities that help all students benefit from being part of our global campus community. You will provide high-quality administrative and operational support for our welcome and community-building activities, team operations, and other events and initiatives.
We are looking for an organized, proactive, customer-focused individual who can relate to our diverse student community to be part of our team. You will be enthusiastic about supporting student education activities and be adaptable and flexible. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of professionalism, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external partners and assist with supervising a team of student ambassadors. You should also be able to work under pressure and manage tasks with competing deadlines.
This role will require some out-of-hours work during the year, especially during the main 3-week arrival period in September. Shorter periods of adjusted hours may also be required during arrival periods in January and June/July.
