Advert Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be responsible for the delivery of day care to adults who have PMLD and Autism, consistent with Social Work policies and procedures including assisting service users to meet their needs as detailed in their care plans in a way which respects their dignity as individuals, maximising their levels of independence and promoting their inclusion within the wider community. You must enjoy working with people who have PMLD and Autism and Understand the needs of people with autism and learning disabilities, aswell as having organisational, communication, literacy and numeracy skills. It is essential you are an effective communicator, showing a courteous manner to service users, carers, other professionals and agencies; be able to work on your own aswell as part of a team, be enthusiastic and motivated with a responsible approach to sensitive information. Knowledge of common computer system packages and the ability to work flexibly as required is also essential. Possession of a SVQ Level 2 in Social Care is desirable, while the commitment and capacity to achieve this qualification is essential.
