Adult Social Care Service Manager – Hospitals and Manchester Community Response
Overview: Manchester is transforming health and social care through the Manchester Local Care Organisation. Following a recent promotion within our team, we are offering the opportunity to join as Service Manager for the Hospital Social Work Teams, providing strategic and operational leadership for adult social work across Manchester Hospitals and the Manchester Community Response (MCR) service.
You will shape high-quality, person-centred care and work closely with senior colleagues across health and social care to deliver good outcomes for residents.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the delivery of Care Act responsibilities and statutory duties
* Leading professional supervision and development of the social work service across hospital and community settings
* Driving continuous improvement and innovation to enhance outcomes for Manchester’s citizens
* Collaborating with stakeholders to reduce hospital delays and improve care pathways
* Taking the lead on adult social care performance across designated service areas
Qualifications and Requirements
* A qualified social worker with a passion for leadership and service development
* Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car if required for business use (Casual Car User); mileage allowance provided
* Pre-employment checks: Proof of identity, full employment history, and evidence of conduct in relevant health or social care settings
* Right to work in the UK (Home Office guidance). This role is not sponsored under the Skilled Worker route
* DBS (Enhanced) clearance required; information handled confidentially per DBS Code of Practice
