The role is to support our Motor Vehicle apprentices as a Motor Vehicle training subject specialist. You will plan, deliver, and assess Apprentice training, supporting apprentices and employers in the workplace with regular reviews to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship and EPA (End Point Assessment). Additionally, you will assist in marketing and developing the Motor Vehicle apprenticeship to industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out Training Needs Analysis for companies regarding Apprenticeship and other training programmes.
2. Develop individual and group delivery plans and coordinate initial skills assessments for apprenticeships and other training programs.
3. Collaborate with College staff in planning, delivering, and assessing training, and monitor the progress of apprentices.
4. Assess and review apprentices/trainees in accordance with internal and external requirements, primarily in Digital.
5. Oversee and report on the performance of the learner journey.
6. Lead quality assurance and improvements for apprenticeship and other programmes, liaising with awarding organisations and implementing quality actions.
7. Coordinate with the Curriculum Team Manager to ensure delivery and completion of all parts of the Apprenticeship Standards, including preparation for End Point Assessment.
8. Deliver teaching and learning sessions as required by the needs of Apprenticeship or other training programmes.
9. Support apprenticeship/curriculum activities in Digital by delivering up to 170 hours of teaching and training sessions, with flexibility for extension based on operational needs.
10. Assist the Business Engagement Manager in promoting such programmes.
11. Handle organisation and administration duties related to apprenticeship programmes.
12. Conduct monitoring, evaluation, and assessment procedures to support student progress and achievement.
13. Help the Curriculum Team Manager in obtaining and monitoring the relevance, health, safety, and welfare of Apprentice placements.
14. Assist with recruitment, enrolment, and induction processes for Apprentice programmes.
15. Maintain effective relationships between academic and support staff, and facilitate communication between employers and department managers.
16. Perform other duties reasonably connected with the post.
17. Undertake Health & Safety checks in the workplace and maintain records.
