A specialist provision in Northumberland is looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs this September. The setting is calm, structured, and focused on helping every young person feel safe, understood, and empowered to learn.

What you'll be doing:
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them stay engaged and regulated throughout the school day
* Using trauma-informed and behaviour-aware approaches to support learning and wellbeing
* Helping to manage transitions, routines, and challenging behaviours
* Encouraging personal development, independence, and positive peer interactions
* Working closely with teachers and specialists to tailor support strategies
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or SEND needs (school-based or community settings)
* A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach to behaviour
* Confidence in supporting emotional regulation and resilience
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A real passion for making a difference in young people’s lives
