Overview of the Role
New to the industry or from a social care background, you will receive training and mentoring to become a highly skilled professional. All in‑house training is provided free of charge with a clear career path from day one. You will make a difference in people’s lives and enjoy a variety of activities that help residents stay safe, happy and fulfilled.
Key Duties
* Providing personal care – bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
* Medication administration
* Assisting and involving residents in daily activities, hobbies or outings
* Following care plan guidance alongside company policies and procedures
* Developing an open, honest and considerate working relationship with residents
* Maintaining written daily records
* Attending and completing required training

Being patient, reliable, flexible, a team player and a good communicator are key characteristics of a successful Social Care Worker.

Where will you work?
Heywood Sumner House – an elegant, detached property in the village of South Gorley, New Forest. The home supports up to 12 male residents with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and associated complex needs. The rural setting has two vehicles for educational and recreational activities and is midway between Fordingbridge and Ringwood, just 15 minutes from Bournemouth town centre.
