Marketing Executive - 12 months FTC

Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to assist in the creation of marketing requirements to drive footfall, traffic & sales to all JD Outdoors fascia stores & website. You will represent the JD Outdoor brands and contribute to marketing idea generation, planning & execution, with a particular focus on store-specific support.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
* Assisting the creative, messaging and campaign management of all National, Regional and Store Advertising to include TV, Radio, Outdoor, Press & Digital.
* Maintaining all marketing calendars for all activities.
* Events management.
* Creating and managing the critical path for all activity within my remit.
* Adhering to the brand guidelines in all marketing materials.
* Writing clear briefs for all material to ensure it meets business objectives.
* Ensuring all advertising copy, visual and audio is accurate and delivered on time and to all relevant parties.
* Sharing creative/campaign plans with the online team to drive consistency & create co-ordinated campaigns.
* Budget management for TV, Radio, Outdoor, Press, Digital, Store Support, Events – across PO’s, invoicing, budget tracker.
* Delivering regional and store marketing support through media and events, for new / refreshed / relocated / converted stores to drive performance to meet set targets.
* Understanding each of the target stores through regular visits, media audits and strong relationships with the store teams.
* Coordinating across multiple business functions to deliver the store/regional plan digital, social & content, group sales.
* Developing a local marketing tool kit to ensure stores have the tools to effectively market themselves with the brand guidelines.
* Working with group sales to build store databases through outreach into the local communities.
* Analysing all activity with relevant KPI’s, sharing with the team and building into future support plans.
* Working with relevant store teams and Regional Managers, utilising local knowledge / requirements, briefing on support events and providing feedback on results.
* Maintaining guard files for all activity
* Acting as a point of contact for any store marketing queries
* Able to support other marketing functions when required.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Prior Regional Marketing / Media / Events experience preferably gained in a retail environment
* Highly organised to manage multiple projects & timescales
* Customer focused
* Strong communicator
* Ability to build relationships at a distance especially with the store teams
* Confident using Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
