Account Executive who loves building B2B relationships and closing sales, is organised and naturally inquisitive, and wants to be part of something awesome.
About Us
We are WeVee. And together, we're electric.
And we’re more than just a global electric car leasing platform; our goal is to dramatically increase the adoption of electric cars, for everyone. At an ever-increasing rate, people are embracing the fact that electric vehicles are the future, and the sooner we help adopt them, the sooner we benefit from cleaner air in our towns and cities, the sooner we save money, and the sooner we become even more awesome.
WeVee brings all the electric cars into one place, enabling our customers to see how an electric car would fit into their lives. Our goal is to drive electric vehicle adoption, helping people to make the switch to fully electric mobility.
Electric cars are growing in popularity – and for good reason; they are now a preference for many, and simply by talking through the benefits, huge tax incentives and – most importantly – by cutting through all the technical jargon, we can help to drive adoption rates, even faster. In the UK, our EcoMute™ (electric car salary sacrifice) programme and other leasing services are backed by some of the biggest names in the automotive leasing industry; we work in partnership with Lex Autolease (part of the Lloyds Banking Group); LeasePlan (a global leader in car-as-a-service); Arval UK (part of BNP Paribas Group); and ALD Automotive (part of Société Générale Group).
Basically, we care about helping people make the switch. We’re real people, everyday people, living our awesome, everyday lives - just like everyone else.
Working at a start-up
The biggest difference between a job at a start-up and a job at a more traditional, established company is the rate at which things change.
Start-up life can be fun, fast-paced, and highly rewarding, with careers developing rapidly through the scale-up process. However, it isn’t for everyone. Even though WeVee has been up and running for a few years, your responsibilities may change more frequently, and you may need to come up with creative solutions to new problems along the way. You will have the opportunity to experiment in your role, sometimes even Googling your way to victory, whilst asking for help when you need it, and maybe even burning some midnight oil from time to time.
About you
You’re a great communicator, one that writes and speaks for impact, and truly thrives when managing sales and relationships for a portfolio of accounts, knowing when (and whom) to ask for the business.
You understand that people buy people first in business-to-business (B2B) sales; they will “buy” you before they buy from you. You have a knack for closing sales and are confident when discussing value or money. You can unearth and understand the goals, motivations and needs of decision-makers (and others) within an account, by asking meaningful questions designed to elicit insight and emotion, not just surface content.
Naturally, WeVee aims to provide excellent service, and judging by our 5-star Trustpilot reviews, customers love it. However, you understand that you may have to take some knocks along the way, so you are willing to have tough conversations and be ready to hustle with your team to find a solution, rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.
The Role
We’re looking for upbeat, forward-looking, proactive account executives to help our business and enterprise customers to increase the number of electric cars used by their employees – taking advantage of the UK's super-low benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax rates through our electric car salary sacrifice programme and other business leasing arrangements.
Building on your knowledge of the automotive industry, we’ll help you get you up to speed on the full range of electric cars available now and coming soon - as well as some of the more in-depth salary sacrifice knowledge that you'll need to know. It’s pretty straightforward really. Whipping up the takeaways, in a nutshell, the sales executive role is:
1. qualifying new sales leads from existing customer accounts;
2. managing and developing a pipeline of sales opportunities;
3. closing sales to achieve 4-weekly sales targets;
4. working with account managers on the same accounts;
5. developing B2B relationships to identify new sales opportunities; and
6. interacting and coordinating with other team members working on the same account.
WeVee has ambitious growth plans, and has already expanded into markets outside the UK, including Germany, The Netherlands and Spain. There is plenty of room to grow over time, as we're developing a whole bunch of different roles. We're looking for everyday people that can speak plainly and treat people like people. If you’re an approachable, patient, helpful person with great energy, then good news: you’re already halfway there.
And the other half? Well, it's quite hard to describe. It’s like a secret potion. A dollop of passion. A pinch of humility. A big spoonful of curiosity and a willingness to learn. And probably a concentrated drop of an undefinable magnetism.
Your Experience
You have a good amount of sales, automotive, leasing or B2B sales experience – and you have been known to be nice to and care about people, of course.
Benefits of working at WeVee
Wow, where should we start? Well, there are many, such as:
* working closely with the founders
* an annual learning grant for personal and professional development, providing unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning training courses.
* career planning, helping you to grow as a leader, hone your craft or explore a new discipline
Moreover, you’ll learn loads, watching and building a start-up that is aligned with the biggest wave of cultural change since the iPhone. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with the co-founders who are experts in their respective fields (not separated by multiple levels of middle managers or burdened by office bureaucracy). Above all, you should have fun at work while making a real and positive impact on the air that we all breathe.
Sound like your thing?
If you think that joining WeVee might be for you, please send us your CV and a note. Something considered. Something that explains why we should give you a call. Skip the “This sounds like a good opportunity” stuff. We know that. And please leave out the “I think I can really bring something to the team” rhetoric.
Maybe tell us why you need this in your life. And what you want. Don’t be lazy. Show us how much you give a $&@#!
Look, at the end of the day, we’re fun folk. And we’re building a cool place to work at. We want people that have that extra special thing in them. People that are looking for a chance to prove themselves - to themselves.
That’s it. It might be you. But you'll never know unless you get in touch.
Thanks for reading; I look forward to meeting you
