Export Sales Manager – EMEA
Job Purpose
To drive profitable export sales growth across EMEA markets for a leading PVC plumbing manufacturer. The role focuses on developing business through approved distribution channels, strengthening partnerships with key distributors, and identifying new market opportunities while protecting brand positioning and channel integrity.
Core Responsibilities
Sales & Channel Development
Develop and execute export sales strategies across EMEA in line with company growth targets
Expand market presence through approved distributors, merchants, and trade partners
Identify and onboard new distribution partners in line with channel strategy
Ensure alignment with pricing structures and channel policies
Deliver revenue growth and margin targets across assigned territories
Distributor & Key Account Management
Build strong, long-term relationships with distributors, buying groups, and key accounts
Manage distributor performance, including sales reviews, forecasts, and joint business plans
Support partners with product training, sales tools, and technical knowledge
Ensure brand consistency and correct product positioning across all channels
Market Development
Identify new market opportunities within plumbing, heating, and construction sectors
Monitor competitor activity and market trends within EMEA regions
Provide insights to support product development and commercial strategy
Represent the company at trade exhibitions, customer events, and industry meetings
Export Operations & Compliance
Oversee export processes, ensuring all documentation and shipping requirements are accurate
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and local market standards
Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to support efficient order fulfilment
Internal Collaboration
Liaise with product management, marketing, operations, and finance teams
Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning
Report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and market feedback
Attend UK head office for planning, reviews, and team collaboration
Key Skills
Essential
Strong B2B sales experience within plumbing or building materials
Proven track record of selling through distribution and merchant channels
Experience in export or international sales across EMEA markets
Strong commercial and negotiation skills
Ability to manage distributor networks and drive performance
Knowledge of export processes, documentation, and logistics
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while travelling
Travel Requirements
30–50% international travel across EMEA
Regular overseas trips (typically 3–5 days)
Visits to distributors, merchants, project sites, and trade exhibitions
Experience Required
5–10 years’ experience in sales within plumbing, heating, or construction products
3–5 years’ experience in export or international markets
Experience managing distributor networks across multiple countries
Demonstrated success in delivering growth through indirect sales channels
