Job Description
Assistant Quality Assurance Manager (Hybrid role) - working from our office at One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and from home.
Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) plus benefits including Health Cash Plan.
Role Overview
We are seeking an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for process improvement, experienced in document management systems, business change, and conducting audits to maintain high quality standards. The successful candidate will support us in maintaining our ISO 9001 certification across our housing and development activities, ensuring statutory, regulatory, and quality compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain and administer our Document Management System, including legal register, compliance, consultation, and lessons learnt trackers.
2. Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in conducting internal and external audits for ISO 9001, preparing reports, action plans, and briefing colleagues on audit outcomes.
3. Monitor performance of our Quality Management System, investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
4. Implement and uphold quality assurance policies, standards, and manuals; provide training to promote a culture of quality and compliance.
5. Support change projects and collaborate with teams across Development, Asset, and other departments, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements
1. Experience in maintaining ISO 9001 quality management systems and understanding of its key requirements.
2. Strong computer skills, including SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Microsoft Office Suite.
3. Experience in a quality assurance role within residential construction or housing, with knowledge of statutory and regulatory compliance for Registered Social Landlords and new build housing.
4. Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience in change management and quality assurance.
5. Attention to detail, influencing skills, and ability to collaborate effectively.
