Our client is looking for a Private Client Paralegal
Client Details
This opportunity is with a well-established professional services firm within the legal industry. The organisation is medium‑size and is known for its expertise in delivering high‑quality services to its clients.
Description
* Assist solicitors in managing a caseload of private client matters from instruction through to completion.
* Draft legal documents, including wills, LPAs, trust deeds, and estate administration papers.
* Prepare inheritance tax forms and applications for grants of probate and letters of administration.
* Conduct legal research and liaise with HMRC, the Probate Registry, and other third parties.
* Maintain accurate file management and compliance with firm procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Communicate effectively with clients, beneficiaries, executors, and other stakeholders.
* Arrange client meetings, attend note‑taking, and assist with file opening and billing processes.
* Support with the administration of trusts and estates, including asset collection, valuation, and distribution.
* Contribute to business development activities and maintain client relationships.
Profile
* Previous experience working in a Private Client department (essential).
* Strong knowledge of wills, probate, LPAs, and trusts (essential).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple files.
* Competent IT skills, including familiarity with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional, empathetic, and client‑focused approach.
