A leading civil engineering contractor is looking for a proactive, driven Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. You’ll support the safe delivery of civil engineering, windfarm, substation, and battery storage projects across the North East of England — working at the forefront of the energy transition. Your Role Support the development and implementation of Health & Safety policies across multiple live sites Carry out site inspections, audits, and task-specific risk assessments Monitor compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, industry standards, and company procedures Deliver engaging toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings Work closely with Project Managers and site teams to embed a positive, proactive safety culture Support incident investigations and help implement effective corrective and preventative actions The Requirements Experience in a Health & Safety role within civil engineering, renewables, or heavy infrastructure Hands-on site experience on windfarms, substations, or battery storage projects Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice Confident communicator who can influence safe behaviours at all levels Comfortable working independently while remaining a collaborative team player Chartered status (CMIOSH or equivalent) is desirable but not essential What’s in It for You?
