My client is a leading provider of care to children and young people in the area, and we are recruiting for a full-time temporary support worker to join their team in Bradford from as soon as possible until the end of August.

Role Overview:

Supporting children in residential homes, including young people with disabilities.

Pay rate: £19 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Requirements:

* Experience working with Children and Young People as a support worker.
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People.
* Team Teach or equivalent – PMVA, control restraint, etc.
* Experience supporting children aged 5-16, helping to increase their independence skills.
* Experience in a similar setting and preferably NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People Workforce or equivalent qualification.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* High standard of general education.
* Willingness to undertake further training.
* Current full driving license with business insurance.

Job Purpose:

To provide support for vulnerable young people in accordance with care plans and in collaboration with social workers.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assist young people's social workers in delivering services, including:
* Transport and escort duties as directed.
* Welcoming and induction of young people.
* Ongoing assessments and support.
* Monitoring and supporting young people's welfare and NHS needs.
* Preparing reports and arranging appointments with partner agencies.
* Maintaining contact with young people and informing them of support groups.
* Supporting move-on processes.
1. Accurately record and update electronic records of young people.
2. Attend meetings as required.
3. Provide mediation as needed.
4. Use IT packages effectively to support work.
5. Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
6. Maintain confidentiality regarding service users, clients, and the company.
7. Assist in developing company policies and procedures.
8. Report housing issues and assist in resolving defects.
9. Undertake on-call duties as directed.
10. Participate in office reception duties as required.
11. Be willing to work sleep-in shifts.
12. Show flexibility to cover all offices as needed.
