Overview
An experienced Home Manager opportunity to lead a nursing home in Bedford, Bedfordshire. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading health care providers. The home is designed to be intimate and welcoming, offering a five-star boutique-hotel style experience for residents.
To be considered for this position you must hold an active NMC Pin and have experience in managing nursing homes.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and direction to the home’s staff team, promoting a culture of kindness, compassion and empathy
* Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements, including those set by the CQC, and maintain high standards of care and support
* Manage the home’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are effectively controlled
* Develop and implement a well-thought-out marketing plan to maintain full occupancy and promote the home’s services to potential residents, families and stakeholders
* Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and all stakeholders, responding effectively to their needs and concerns
Skills and experience (preferred)
* Ability to engage with service users to understand their needs and provide person-centred care
* Good working knowledge of CQC standards
* Confident communicator with the ability to maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, external professionals, families and visitors
* Proven track record in marketing and business skills within the private care sector, running a commercially successful, good or outstanding rated care home
* Strong leadership credentials
Benefits and salary
The successful Home Manager will receive a salary of GBP60,000 per annum. This is a permanent full-time role for 40 hours a week from 9am–5pm. Benefits include:
