About the Role:
We’re looking for an Assistant Hub Manager to support the Hub Manager in the day-to-day running of our North London facility. This is a hands-on, people‑focused role at the heart of the hub — ensuring smooth operations, supporting and managing staff, looking after members, and helping drive participation and revenue.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in business development, sales, or customer‑focused management who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about sport and people.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Hub Manager with the overall management and smooth running of the facility, including:
* Assisting with day-to-day operations to ensure the hub runs efficiently and to a high standard
* Managing and supporting staff, including creating rotas, supervising shifts, and motivating the front‑of‑house team
* Handling member enquiries, feedback, and issues, ensuring every member feels valued and looked after
* Supporting membership growth, sales activity, and business development initiatives
* Assisting with events and activations, including tournaments, socials, leagues, and open days
* Overseeing bookings and front‑of‑house operations to ensure a seamless customer journey
* Promoting the hub in the local area to grow participation and build a strong padel community
* Ensuring excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered across the venue
Experience & Background:
* Previous experience in an assistant manager, supervisor, or similar role
* Background in hospitality, leisure, sport, or customer‑focused environments preferred
* Experience or strong interest in business development, sales, or membership growth is highly desirable
Skills & Attributes:
* A genuine passion for customer service and people
* A proactive, hands‑on attitude — happy to be on the floor supporting staff and members
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Confident communicator who can lead by example and inspire a team
* Commercial mindset with an interest in driving participation and revenue
* Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and events
* Interest in sport is essential — padel knowledge is a bonus but not required
