You will be based around the Sandwell area working at care homes/supported living units. SCCT is a registered charity and cares for elderly people, elderly people with dementia and adults with profound/physically and/or learning disabilities. SCCT believes that individuals should be supported to live the life they choose and everyone should be entitled to a home they are proud of and feel safe in.
SCCT aims to guarantee that all its employees have the skills and experience they need and is able to offer full training packages.
Key roles:
* To work as part of the maintenance team but also work on their own initiative.
* The Ability to perform basic plumbing skills.
* The Ability to perform basic carpentry skills.
* To be able to carry out duties including fencing, slabbing and tiling.
* To assist with gardening and decorating where applicable.
* Candidates need experience of working in a Care Environment.
* Must be flexible with both hours of employment and abilities.
* Must be able to drive and hold a clean driving licence.·
* Also have your own vehicle to get to and from a base except when on call.
* Must be able to carry out other duties from time to time.
* The ability to assist in property maintenance.
