Position Overview
The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We build, operate, and support bespoke, technically complex, mission‑critical systems that help our clients stay safe and secure. Using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes and deep expertise across space, defence, intelligence, aerospace and maritime, we collaborate with global technology companies, SMEs and academia to deliver optimal solutions. In this role, you will contribute to FC BISA – a long‑running programme developing bespoke fire‑control and battlespace management solutions for the British Army, currently supporting two major software releases on a 60‑member team.
Location & Hybrid Working
This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Leatherhead. You are required to work in‑office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Remote collaboration is also supported.
Security Clearance
Due to the secure nature of the role, only applicants who are sole UK nationals and who currently hold SC clearance or are eligible to obtain SC clearance will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Support the Test Manager in delivering the test programme.
* Manage day‑to‑day test activities and task allocation.
* Lead defect management, ensuring resolution and documentation.
* Produce weekly test metrics and report on performance targets.
* Drive the test team towards continuous improvement and quality.
* Provide leadership to testers, including both experienced and ad‑hoc teams.
Qualifications
* Experience with test management tools (e.g., OpenText AQM, HP ALM).
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
* Strong attention to detail and manual testing experience.
* ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Level or equivalent (ISEB).
* Experience leading test activities, though ad‑hoc leaders are also considered.
