We are seeking a committed, skilled, and motivated Social Worker / Safeguarding Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Adults Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a supportive service dedicated to protecting adults at risk, promoting wellbeing, and delivering person-centred safeguarding practice in line with the Care Act 2014.As part of our busy and dynamic team, you will play a key role in responding to safeguarding concerns, coordinating enquiries, and working collaboratively with individuals, their families, and multi-agency partners to reduce risk and promote safety. What You Will Be Doing Screening and responding to safeguarding concerns under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014. Leading or coordinating safeguarding enquiries, ensuring they are timely, proportionate, and outcome-focused. Working directly with adults at risk to understand their wishes, identify desired outcomes, and support them to make informed decisions. Undertaking risk assessments, Mental Capacity Act assessments, and best interest decision-making where required. Collaborating with internal and external partners including health services, police, housing, care providers, and advocacy services. Recording high-quality, defensible decision-making on our case management system (e.g., Liquid Logic). Contributing to Multi-Agency meetings and supporting decision-making panels where needed. Promoting Making Safeguarding Personal throughout all practice. About YouYou will be a confident and reflective practitioner with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. You’ll have a sound understanding of safeguarding legislation and experience working with adults with complex needs. We’re looking for someone who is: A qualified Social Worker (SWE registration required) or equivalent safeguarding professional with relevant qualification and experience. Knowledgeable about the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and relevant statutory guidance. Able to work under pressure, manage competing demands, and make robust, evidence-based decisions. Committed to strengths-based practice and empowering adults to maintain choice and control. A team player with a positive, solution-focused approach.
