Robert Price Builders’ Merchants Ltd is a family run independent business, with head office in Abergavenny. We are the largest independent builders’ merchant in South East Wales.
Key responsibilities
* General warehouse duties and stock management.
* Picking orders, loading and unloading and related paperwork.
* Customer service – dealing with customers in person.
* Driving forklift.
* The role offers scope to develop selling skills, customer service and an understanding of materials, stock control, orders and deliveries.
* Death-in-service coverage at 3x your basic salary.
* 30 days annual leave per year.
* Salary negotiable according to experience.

Essential skills & experience
* Counterbalance forklift licence.
* GCSE Maths (minimum grade C or a good understanding of metric and imperial measurements and basic mental arithmetic).
* Proven teamwork skills.
* Naturally tidy and organised.
* Willingness to engage with customers and provide good customer service.
* Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised once trained.
* Reliable, industrious, adaptable and quick to grasp new concepts.
* Manual handling up to 25kg.
Knowledge of roofing materials and their usage, an interest in the construction industry and good numeracy. Good arithmetic, preferably GCSE Maths grade C.
