Do work in Clinical Research? Are you looking for a short-term role that adds long-term value to your career? We have a fixed term opportunity for an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator. We’re offering an 8-month fixed term role (March 2026 – October 2026) as part of an organisational reshuffle due to maternity cover. This could be a great way for you to use your experience to make a real difference. Scottish Brain Sciences is a Life Sciences Company with Headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland. We deliver clinical trials of new tests and treatments for a range of neurodegenerative conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease. We foster the rapid translation of research into practice (bench to bedside). As Clinical Research Coordinator, you will work closely with investigators, sponsors, vendors, and study participants to facilitate the development and successful delivery of clinical trials. You will be the study champion, promoting it internally and externally via meetings and events and ensuring it is delivered following regulatory, government, and ethical regulations and requirements. Some of what you’ll be doing: Coordinating and overseeing the running of observational trials and/or CTIMPS Ensuring trials are delivered following regulatory, government, and ethical regulations and requirements Ensuring adherence to study protocols and Good Clinical Practice guidelines Ensuring the safety of participants during their visit to the premises Maintaining participant visit schedules and booking required visits with participants Assisting in recruiting and screening participants for trials Collecting data and maintaining detailed records and database evidence Taking ownership for managing study documents, protocols and records for participants and trials Managing supplies and materials including clinical stocktaking and any products required for clinical use Contributing to the design and delivery of training for trial staff and participants When required and if qualified, participating in clinical activities such as psychometry, phlebotomy, ECG and blood pressure recording Acting as the point of contact for study participants and effectively ensure any questions or concerns are appropriately addressed Supporting the creation of processes and process improvement within the Company and scope of the project Working with the wider team to ensure there is adequate cover for continuance of service across this job function. The skills, experience, and qualifications you’ll bring: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biology, Health Sciences, or related field at least 3 years’ experience in coordinating clinical trials in medicinal products experienced in using clinical research methodology, including applicable regulatory requirements a professional manner with participants, colleagues, and the wider multi-disciplinary team an empathetic communication style great organisational skills used to working within a multidisciplinary environment experienced in using electronic data capture systems for research management experienced in the safe handling, preparation, storage, and shipping of biological samples willing to undergo PVG clearance deep knowledge of ICH GCP Guidelines.
